• Nekrolog, 1969. ¹ The community was saddened Saturday to learn of the unexpected death of Mrs. William Allen, 73, early that morning. She became quite ill suddenly and died before reaching the hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen came to Terry and Prairie County in 1921, and ranched up near Big Sheep Mountain, except the last three years when they moved to town.
Mrs. Allen was born at Ellendale, ND, Oct. 11, 1896. She spent her childhood in Ellendale and was married to William H. Allen Dec. 22, 1921, at Glendive, after which they came to Prairie County.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Terry Chapter No. 74, and a charter member of the Brockway Community Church.
Survivors include Mr. Allen; two daughters, Mrs. Lyle Grist, Brockway, and Mrs. Arthur Hruska, Butte; two brothers, Kneut Guldborg and Henry Guldborg, both of Brockway; and four grandsons.
